Allāh ﷻ said:
O believers! Fasting is prescribed for you—as it was for those before you—so perhaps you will become mindful ˹of Allāh˺.
I say: Use Ramadān as chance to leave sins for the sake of Allāh.
And He ﷻ said:
Allāh intends ease for you, not hardship.
And He ﷻ said:
And it is Allāh’s Will to turn to you in grace, but those who follow their desires wish to see you deviate entirely ˹from Allāh’s Way˺.
And it is Allāh’s Will to lighten your burdens, for humankind was created weak.
I say: Allāh wants you to turn back to Him and to repent to Him.
And He ﷻ said:
When My servants ask you ˹O Prophet˺ about Me: I am truly near. I respond to one’s prayer when they call upon Me. So let them respond ˹with obedience˺ to Me and believe in Me, perhaps they will be guided ˹to the Right Way˺.
I say: You need to return to Allāh ﷻ in Duā’ with your problems. As Ya’qūb ﷺ said:
“I complain of my anguish and sorrow only to Allāh, and I know from Allāh what you do not know.”
And He ﷻ said:
Do you think you will enter Paradise without Allāh proving which of you ˹truly˺ struggled ˹for His cause˺ and patiently endured?
I say: You must be patient on what Allāh has ordered you to do, and what He has ordered you to leave, and what He tests you with.
And He ﷻ said:
Do you think you will enter Paradise without Allāh proving which of you ˹truly˺ struggled ˹for His cause˺ and patiently endured?
I say: When you are patient on what Allāh told you to leave, Allāh will give you better than it.
And He ﷺ said:
As for those who struggle in Our cause, We will surely guide them along Our Way. And Allāh is certainly with the good-doers.
I say: If you try your best to leave sins, Allāh will give you a way out. Sometimes Allāh gives someone a way out, but he does not realize that Allāh gives him a way out.
From the ways out is that Allāh guides you to reading or listening to someone who helps you get out of your bad habit or addiction or any type of sin.
The Prophet ﷺ said: Allāh ﷻ said:
From Abū Hurairah, from the Prophet ﷺ who said:
“Every good deed that the son of Ādam does is multiplied tenfold, up to seven hundred times. Allāh ﷻ says: “Except for fasting—it is Mine, and I alone reward for it. He leaves his food for My sake, his drink for My sake, and his desires for My sake. So it is Mine, and I alone reward for it. Fasting is a shield, and for the fasting person, there are two joys: a joy when he breaks his fast, and a joy when he meets his Lord. And indeed, the breath of the fasting person when he abstains from food is more fragrant to Allāh than the scent of musk.”
I say: Use the time of Ramadān with Siyām (fasting) and Tarawīh (night prayer in Ramadān) and social interactions in the Masjid to stay away from sins and solve addictions or bad habits.
